CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) — There are many myths surrounding hypnosis. Some think of it as a form of mind control or that it’s done by staring at a swinging watch until you get sleepy, but those theories are false.

It’s a natural process people go in and out of everyday and it’s being used to heal.

Brittany Casstevens, a survivor of abuse, is sharing her story of how hypnosis brought her back to life.

“I was emotionally numb,” said Casstevens. “If I didn’t leave I could have been killed.”

Casstevens has dealt with the scars of abuse since childhood.

“I was not good at genuinely feeling my smile. I woke up every morning and begged myself to get out of bed, so that I could fake it another day.”

Today there is no faking, her smile is real and she gives all the credit to Board Certified Hypnotist Anthony M. Davis.

“There are some people that come in here and think I have a magic wand,” said Davis. “It doesn’t work that way.”

Davis is one of 140 Board Certified Hypnotists in the world and there’s no wand or fancy tricks. Hypnotism is all about comfort, relaxation and tapping into the subconscious mind. The subconscious is labeled as the protector and stores every single experience a person goes through.

“Because your subconscious mind is there to protect you or take care of you,” said Davis. “When you’re in a state of hypnosis and I’m telling you you’re good, you’re enough and capable of doing what you want, your mind says OK cool, I’ll take it.”

During a session a client sits back, closes their eyes and focuses on the voice of one.

“When they start to focus on what I’m telling them,” said Davis. “They’re not hearing that other tape player that’s going all the time.”

Casstevens was a client for 6 weeks and says what Davis taught will last a life-time.

“He taught me that not only is it OK what I’ve been through and what I’ve dealt with, but the situations that I’ve been through are so common,” said Casstevens. “He taught me not to be ashamed.”

Hypnosis is a holistic approach, there’s no diagnoses given or prescriptions written. It’s teaching a person to positively feed the subconscious mind, while incorporating life coaching and forgiveness, so people like Casstevens come out on top.

She has now graduated the program and is currently writing a book.

Although the bulk of Davis’s clients are women who have suffered long term abuse, he works with first responders, military members and their families. He also works with clients to kick habits such as smoking, over-eating and even extreme couponers.

In our earlier podcast, we talked about how Transformative Life Centering is an awesome process for couples preparing for marriage.  In this podcast we’re going to look at how Transformative Life Centering can make a huge difference with senior and executive leadership.  

I’ve witnessed over and over again people in these positions. They are charged with leading organizations and their lives are a mess.  Sure they make the big bucks, but if they really allowed themselves to see where they are, they have fears for the future and sometimes they are afraid of making a decision because of the “what-if it doesn’t turn out so well” syndrome.  

Add to that the junk they’ve been carrying around for decades. In some organizations they faced deep angers from the inherent mistrust and competition from their peers.  

Now image what would happen if these men and women had a reset button. They could take their talents and experience and apply it from a new centered position. A place where they are in control of their thoughts and feelings.

You don’t have to look too hard to find people that are disappointed with various leadership structures in our nation.  There are good organizations that bring value to their corporations and their people, but I venture to say that’s a minority and it doesn’t have to be that way.

As a nation and as an economic leader in the world. We are capable to reach higher…lead stronger…and be an example of success…

If only our leaders would only allow this whole-life makeover from Transformative Life Centering. The reality is that these leaders would benefit exponentially if they would pay for their secretaries and administrative assistants to experience this process. They would enjoy happy, engaged and successful employees for the long haul. These lower paid professionals are often the backbone of leadership, logistics and effective organizations.

This is just a small snippet where Transformative Life Centering can be an effective life changing experience.  In the days to come, we’ll look at other examples where you have the ability to bring positive change to your life if you choose to.

Your Inputs and Perspectives Can Make a Significant Difference

The Occupational Stress Survey focuses upon two main occupational areas: Law Enforcement / First Responders and members of the Military. While the military missions differ from the general category of first responders, they do in fact respond (from a global perspective) and their stress result have similarities.

All responses to the survey are COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS.

Why is this survey being done and what will be done with the results?

This survey is intended to identify issues that law enforcement, first responders and military professionals face in their day-to-day jobs and in their daily life. Each of these individuals provide significant value to the safety and well-being of our nation. America remains strong because of their service. It is an imperative that capable professionals are made aware of this potential avenue to provide service to those who serve. The effects of stress if left unchecked weaken individuals, families and our national preparedness and operational strength.

The results of this survey will help prepare a presentation before the National Guild of Hypnotists’ national conference in August 2016. This global organization is comprised of thousands of professionals who have significant training and expertise, helping everyday people with everyday issues. Mr. Anthony M. Davis has been selected as a faculty member to present on this critical topic. Once presented to the conference, practitioners will be in a better position to develop and offer stress management programs to people within their areas.

How long will the survey be available for responses?

This is intended to be a long-term project as world and political events, budgetary issues and environmental conditions can add to, or distract from various stress conditions. With that said, the initial data collection period will continue through May 15, 2016. Inputs from the respondents will provide the initial view necessary to support the August 2016 presentation. Responses after that point will continue to be valuable as they will give a broader view to support a follow-on phase to identify and implement resources to support first responders, military and transportation professionals.

Will the results of the survey be made public?

Yes. Sometime after the National Guild of Hypnotists’ national conference, the information will be made available at this site. An appropriate press release will go out indicating the publishing of the survey. To ensure you don’t miss the release, subscribe to this site so you will be appropriately informed of the progress. Listen to Podcast 3 – Pre-Marriage Preparation

Transformative Life Centering is an awesome process for couples preparing for marriage. Why would anyone enter into a life-long relationship, making a commitment to Love, Protect, Cherish, Respect and Honor one another if they haven’t gotten rid of the effects of their old fears, worries, angers and disappointments?

If you don’t get rid of those things beforehand, you willingly bring them into the marriage and end up measuring your new spouse against old history. Is that fair to them?

It’s like saying,

“Oh…Honey…I love you so much…I want to spend my life with you…So…here…would you help me carry around my bag of trash?”

Is that absurd or what? That’s exactly what people do to one another. They spend thousands of dollars on a wedding and then blame their spouse when things don’t work out later.

Success is a choice.

A successful marriage is a choice.

A successful family life is a choice.

Preparing yourself to be the best contributor and partner to the relationship…by getting rid of old baggage is a choice. Imagine that you were going to run an important foot race and the outcome would have a direct impact to the rest of your life.

You’ve eaten. You’ve trained. You bought the best running shoes, and you have new designer running clothes. On the outside you look good. Yet, all the while, you’ve been carrying sharp, heavy rocks in your pocket. As you approach the starting line you notice that you still have the sharp, heavy rocks in your pocket. These rocks will over time slow you down…and dig into your skin with the sharp edges…reminding you they are there.

Does that make sense? No…of course not…but that’s what people do when they prepare for marriage. They do all the things to look good on the outside but they choose not to deal with the sharp, hidden rocks that direct their focus away from their new spouse and their future.

TLC PROCESS

Transformative Life Center consists of ten individual sessions. There are five private sessions with the bride and five private sessions with the groom… and they stay private. I don’t share with the other party.
